The CRX's seats actually are mounted lower to the floor than the hatch to accomodate the lower roofline, but I'm not sure if overall it has more or less headroom than the hatch. So probably a 5th or 6th gen hatch would be the best bet for headroom. I've had all 3 over the years. The civic hatch has the most head room.

The del sol is heavier but a convertible with a targa top and newer. The CRX is lighter, gets better mileage, smaller (which I like), but older and has more mileage on it.
