But today, the sun allowed us to lace our hiking shoes. We hiked with organizer Stéphane at the Adrets-de-l'Esterel tourism board and Hélène to visit old Estérel friends: the Sainte-Baume, the Saint Pilon and the Cap Roux. On a clear day, this is my favorite short walk (2 hrs) in the Estérel Mountains.

Nowhere in the Esterel have we been more often than on the Pic du Cap Roux, and with good reason: despite a relatively easy and short climb, taking only around an hour from the parking lot to the summit (assuming a leisurely pace with occasional photo breaks), the Pic du Cap Roux, with its elevation of 453 meters (1,486 feet) only the sixth.
