The Type A series 2CV continued production, while a new 2CV Fourgonnette (van) was unveiled in 1950 with great promise for French business owners. By 1951, production of the van was proving just as limited as with the popular Type A, as demand far exceeded supply. There were no substantive changes for 1952, but 1953 saw a switch to tartan.
