About El Chucho beach. Wedged between El Playazo and Torrecilla is a stretch of beach known as El Chucho . Only 280m in length and 30m in width, its very easy to walk past it without noticing on your way to Torrecilla or to El Playazo . El Chucho is last beach on the western side to have a paseo maritimo - seafront promenade.

El Chucho beach is roughly 280 long and is quite sheltered by the Torrecilla promontory. It does, however, suffer considerable damage during stormy winter weather and the sand has to be replenished on a regular basis. The water deepens fairly gently, no real shelf as such, which means it is a good place for kids.

It's a great beach for families because the water is shallow, has good access (including one for travellers with disability), and isn't as busy as other Nerja beaches, but I'd avoid visiting it on a Sunday in summer.
