Bugong National Park and Tapitallee Nature Reserve are located on the south coast of New South Wales, 14 and 7 kilometres north-west of Nowra. The national park has a total area of 1022 hectares and the nature reserve is 94 hectares. The national park and nature reserve were gazetted in 2001 as a result of the Southern Forest Agreement.

The park was created in 2001, alongside the Tapitallee Nature Reserve, as part of the southern New South Wales Regional Forest Agreement. Previously, the park was Crown land.

Description This is an arduous day-walk or overnight walk through the beautiful Bungonia National Park, located about half way between Canberra and Sydney, NSW. Parking is available at the end of Bungonia Lookdown Road and there are also several caves nearby to explore.

Description This is a stellar fire trail through regenerative forest in Bugong National Park that takes you to the banks of the Kangaroo River. From Tallowa Dam Rd find a small dirt car park area just to the north where the fire trail begins. The path is mostly well-maintained and easy to follow.
